After a very long travel day, you just want to get to your destination and curl up the n a nice warm bed. This is what me and my family expected when we first arrived in Cape Town.
We went to get our rental car, but when we saw the car we were supposed to be renting, we realized that it was far too small to fit our large family. The vehicles in South Africa are pretty small. If you would like a car for six people, You can get one, but you’ll all be very squished. This was a challenging factor for our family because we had six of us and all of our bags. After about an hour and a half after getting off the plane at Cape Town international airport, we were finally at the apartment we were staying at for the week. We all had a midnight snack, then went to bed very tired.
Our First Day In Cape Town
After a good night’s rest, mom took my siblings and me shopping at the V&A Waterfront mall and WaterShed. It was AMAZING! I am someone who loves shopping, so this was great. We went to Woolworth‘s and Wellness Warehouse for food. It took us a while to find these stores because the mall was massive and super confusing. Mom’s Google Maps was going crazy. Eventually, we found it and got our groceries.
Lunch On the Water Front
After a morning of shopping, we found an excellent restaurant and brought dad to the waterfront. We had a fantastic lunch and watched the bands play all around the square. It was delightful.
