Today we went to Arches National Park. We got up at 4:15 and drove to Delicate Arch, and hiked the 3 mile (round trip) to the top. The view was amazing, and the arch even better. Delicate Arch is special because it is free standing and not leaning against any other rock formation. All arches are built from original slabs of rock, which get carved out through time, and first they become caves, then almost caves, then arches you see today! I would highly recommend the hike, but bring lot’s and lot’s of water, a good snack, and a camera or phone for taking pictures.

We also drove around Arches, and saw many cool things. One of my favorites was The Three Gossips. The Three Gossips are three stone pillars that look like people huddled together sharing some juicy gossip.

There was also another very interesting site. When we pulled up to hike to Sandy Arch, there was this raven who was cawing really weirdly. It was kind of clicking at us, and looked kind of mad. Anyway, it was really funny and weird.

Today we went white water kayaking in Moab with the company Mild to Wild. It was really amazing, but we only did the half day. I totally could have done the full, but half was still awesome. The river was very warm, and the guide’s were really cool. The rafting looked cool, but I preferred kayaking. I loved flopping out of the kayak then quickly climbing back in, then repeating the process again.

After our big adventure, we got lunch at Spoke’s. I highly recommend their Build Your Own Burger, with the bacon, grilled pineapple, and as a side, Sweet Potato tater-tots.

Later, we headed back to our KOA, and me and brother Zebaniah swam in the pool for a couple of hours.
